Inheriting Personality Traits Study

25th April 2024

For the attention of Dr Rene Mottus, University of Edinburgh

Dear Dr Mottus

It was interesting to read your study about the possibility of children inheriting personality traits from parents, and the fact that you found little to support the saying 'like father, like son'.

I thought to introduce you to The Erasmus Foundation, a spiritual teaching and healing centre in Laxfield, Suffolk, – not a religion or any kind of sect or cult, simply a group of like minds believing in a Natural Law and a belief that each life teaches us new things and gives us new experiences; that the Spirit inside us is what has value and lives on after the end of a life on the Earth. So, we are very individual as a Spirit, and our life, which we call a Tapestry, is also unique in what it has to offer, what we may be gifted in and what our purpose might be. We may inherit some characteristics from our parents and/or grandparents, and we may well be affected by the environment we live in and by the nurturing we receive; also, within a family, we are all different ages, spiritually, which will likely play a part in the tests and challenges we face. At the end of life, it is only the physical body that has come to an end, we believe the Spirit returns to what we call Home, a dimension that is very peaceful, ordered, solid and, compared to the fantasy that is our Earth at present, a place of reality.

If you are interested, we have a website www.erasmus-foundation.org and also a podcast that covers a wide variety of subjects called 'The Erasmus Foundation Podcast'. If you have any questions I would also be happy to try and answer them.

Thank you for your time in reading this, and I wish you well with your work for the future.
