Following your series on ghosts, poltergeists and other occurrences discussed in your podcasts I thought to introduce you to The Erasmus Foundation, a spiritual teaching and healing centre based in Laxfield, Suffolk. We are a spiritual teaching and healing centre that has been operating since 1972. We have recently completed a series of podcasts under the name 'The Erasmus Foundation Podcast' and I thought some of the topics we cover might be of interest to you.
We believe that each one of us is a spirit living in a human body for a certain length of time. When we die of the Earth our spirit simply returns Home, a plain that is not seen by the human eye but is where our spirit lives and continues to evolve until perhaps we take another life on the Earth in order to learn and experience new things. We believe that there is a difference between what people see and feel – a spirit who might draw near would not be there to frighten or cause any harm but would draw near peacefully; they might attempt to communicate using thought if they believed the person could be sensitive enough to pick this up (either by sight or sound); with a ghost this is simply a recording from past times which has imprinted itself within and upon buildings and homes, just as we look on and hear television today, and I believe this has been tested by universities in recent times, and sounds have been picked up in some old buildings. So, ghosts would never do any harm because they are from the past and it is simply a recording – although, of course, this might frighten people especially if the recording was of a tragedy or trauma and the person felt and heard this.
The other thing to mention, is that children, particularly very young children, might be more sensitive to spirit drawing near because the spirit within the child has not long been upon the Earth and so has not been impacted physically by the Earth with all its noise and distraction. Here, I am talking about spirit drawing near peacefully, perhaps also to communicate in some way, but poltergeists are not so common today and are an evil thought form that would have been sent by a person working in evil and with the ability to cause some destruction and disturbance.
