I was interested to hear your discussion about the food shortages on Saturday and sympathise with farmers and other businesses, as well as the public struggling with cost of living. The climate change temperature rises are not going away, in my view, and so perhaps we have all got to adapt what we eat, what we grow and how we live – and perhaps more of us should grow our own food. Perhaps, also, we should be thinking of growing different fruit and vegetables to suit our changing climate and collect seeds from the plants that do best, so ensuring stronger plants well suited to where we live?
The root cause of this imbalance in our world is not spoken about enough I feel, it is usually talking about the symptoms, and so until the truth about pollution and poisoning of our air, water, earth, animals, food and all of nature, as well as the pollution of our thinking is faced up to, I believe this destruction will continue. Simply throwing money at the symptoms is not going to resolve these issues, and talking about economic growth whilst nature is dying is not only short sighted but completely irresponsible in my view and reflects the greed and falsehood of our time. We might not have a world to invest in soon.
