Why We Need a Financial Crash

23rd November 2024 Winter Newsletter

To many people who have not heard us discuss the idea of a financial crash at our Erasmus meetings—as far back as the 1980s, when it was first mentioned—the thought would likely be shocking and perhaps unbelievable. A few years ago, I received a response to something I wrote in which I touched on the thought that perhaps a financial crash was on the cards, and it was one of disbelief and words to the effect of "Oh, no, surely not!" For others, however, the idea of a financial crash is thought-provoking.

I am currently reading a book entitled A Brief History of the Middle East by Christopher Catherwood where he states that the fall of the Shah in 1979 and the collapse of the Iron Curtain in 1989, like so many events in history, were not predicted by the experts and that all the expensive intelligence in the World often fails to forecast major world changes before they happen. This is interesting. However, I read a comment from someone in the financial world about ten years ago. I think he was a journalist, and he believed that it was not a case of if there would be a crash, but when. So, it makes sense that some thinking people with the right knowledge will see the reality and the precariousness of our financial structures, given the priorities of those in authority and the influence of others, as well as the examples of financial wobbles and crises in recent years. In other words, the crumbling of our finance systems has already begun.

The thought of a financial crash can sound frightening, but as we often discuss in the Foundation, there is always a reason and purpose for all things and a positive for every negative. Everything happens in its due season and through a sequence of events following the premise of cause and effect. Ultimately, all is in the hands and control of the Great Mind and has been designed so that we learn and grow stronger spiritually. It is a gift I believe will be understood and appreciated in the future.

The imbalance in our World seems more apparent than ever, especially days after the U.S. election as I write this piece. The Natural Law is all about balance, but people's values, priorities, and behaviour over a long period of time have created imbalance. The result is a void wherein chaos will happily reside.

So, how can we survive this chaos? Why is this happening, and what can we learn? What needs to happen to help us survive?

We have discussed much about evil over the years and considered that perhaps the ultimate lesson for us all living as we are on the cusp of a new sixth civilisation for the Earth and the end of the fifth, is understanding evil and learning how to control it. The expression 'money is the root of all evil' certainly seems to exemplify what evil needs to survive. So, how would a financial crash impact the World?

To my mind, the most important impact of a financial crash, and the need for this to happen, is to bring to a halt the plans and activities of the Black: evil, dark forces who are seeking to use their immense power and wealth to bring down, destroy, and cause chaos in the World. This might sound fanciful to some, like a Hollywood movie - and perhaps they have a point in that it is certainly a battle between good and evil, light and dark - but we know this destruction has been happening for a very long time and will continue to do so as the Black sees any opportunity to increase further their power, wealth and control.

We have been given the reality of a dark web of evil encompassing the Earth, and this reflects how they communicate to enhance and increase their position and power with like-minded dark minds, particularly in industry and commerce, and how it is having a real impact on the ground in people's lives. We see the results in our news headlines: division in all areas of life, especially politics and religion, that are used to sow seeds of disinformation and fuel unrest; growing extremes of rich and poor reflecting greed and hardship, amongst other things; declining mental and physical health with depression, loneliness, inadequacy and the comfort and escape through drink and drugs fuelling the health crisis; unstable and unrealistic education policy focusing on economics rather than individual human beings; unhealthy food and water feeding into the above; increased violence and anarchy also reflecting the above; conflict within and between countries manipulated by those in power; and nature and wildlife in crisis and seriously polluted. We hear the increasing fear in some people's voices as they echo the widespread concern for our planet and worry about the direction in which we are going.

However, with concern from the Great Mind, there will always be those in place with the right compassion, skills and spiritual strength to help steer the positive changes that will replace the destructive and damaging lifestyles, values and priorities mentioned above. There is always light in the darkness and purpose in the experience; and the purpose of the spiritual tuition from this Foundation will surely start to be more widely appreciated, reflecting the waking lights of many.

Given the above, a financial crash would seem essential and will likely teach much because of its impact on many people's lives. It will undoubtedly draw out strengths from some people and take others down because it will be difficult for many at first, and some will suffer more than others. The first thing will probably be panic, understandably; the structure and routine of life will be turned on its head, and people will be worrying about their homes and their jobs, how they can afford food and medicines, how to pay their mortgage and rent and how to cope with all the other changes around them. There will be worry and stress connected with family members and friends who might be less able mentally and physically to adapt to the changes.

We might wonder when this will happen, but having the insight from our discussions with Spirit that this is not long off, it might be that food shortages and clean water availability will already be at a crisis point, especially with the speed of change through climate change and disease. Conflict is rife in many parts of the World; anarchy, and violence are seemingly quick to surface at the slightest nudge. But we also see the 'little people' all around the World marching for their cause, coming together in strength; something else that was mentioned all those years ago. Could these things come together to trigger the ultimate financial crash? We will have to see.

So, what other positives could come from a financial crash? I think in the first instance it will bring many people together. When people are living an experience that is shared - and you can see this when people are suffering as well as celebrating something - they are more open in their communications and more forthcoming in wanting to comfort, support and give practical help. In other words, the crisis will bring out the best in people, perhaps to their surprise and others, if they realise a strength they did not know they had. Of course, it will also bring out the worst in some, which will be part of the test in those early days, but I think eventually people will realise that they have to come together to survive. I hope they will soon realise how much better they feel when they can help others in some way and receive help, too.

The yoke of materialism will surely be lifted almost immediately following a financial crash as industry and commerce collapse and stop behaving like one large World factory, making items for people to consume and encouraging people to spend. If it has not already started, the current priority of educating children to contribute economically and participate in this consuming passion will also change and be a stimulus for a new form of education we have written about in the Foundation, which we believe will transform many lives in the future.

Today's values that encourage unrealistic expectations of what you should own, what you should achieve, how you should look, and how success and failure are measured will no longer be important, removing the burden of daily life and relieving stress. In short, a financial crash will be a great leveller.

Where will people find clean water and food whenever this issue becomes a world crisis due to dramatic climate change? Will this lead to people moving to the countryside in search of these essentials along with a new home or shelter of some kind? This will be a healthier environment in many ways because there will eventually be little or no traffic, and many farms will likely be forced to adapt due to market collapse. If there is healthier, smaller-scale food production amongst communities, will this not allow wildlife to recover and be a joy and pleasure for all? All this will likely motivate people to grow their own food. Some might join the increasing number of community groups you read about who are already doing this to help their physical and mental health, recognising the healing benefits of being out in nature. As well as an opportunity to learn new skills there is the chance to make new friends at an emotionally difficult time.

Animals, wildlife and nature will certainly benefit from the changes in people's lives and the consequent behaviour that will ensue. Is this not a positive kickstart to the cleansing and healing that is shown to be more desperately needed all over the World?

We know there will be other events, some of which we have discussed, some we won't know, that will contribute to the changes that will happen and have been designed by the Great Mind. The turbulence that will follow a financial crash and the hunger and want will no doubt be testing, but if events can help surface the minds of more people to help them survive this time and find their purpose through the truth of who they are, is this not worth fighting for?

In the new spiritual age, with values and behaviour that reflect the Natural Law, will this not bring back the balance this World so sorely needs and enable a deep understanding of the experience that will remain in people's minds forever?
