Those who censor history and want to control people and institutions are declaring their weakness to all thinking people sensitive to change that is in error in the natural order of things. It is short-sighted but reflects their focus on themselves and an inflated ego. Human nature is, of course, weak at times, but it can also be strong, and this is reflected in the history we have been fortunate to acquire in whatever form. Looking at history objectively is healthy and can only help us learn the lessons from the past. Removing this objectivity will not only be detrimental to thinking and debate, but it also has the potential to increase the polarisation amongst citizens who must already be feeling uneasy and angry at their government’s leadership and direction.
How will this time be reflected? Will it be seen as a time of change, when evil throughout the World threw off the façade and declared its selfish ambitions and goals? Will it also show the growing strength of people coming together to fight for the truth and the light? Events are fast-moving. Perhaps our leaders do not have the control they imagine.
