If anyone outside of our regular group we have spoken to over the years about a financial crash, or the encouragement we have given to store food, boil drinking water, and, if possible, grow their own food, then perhaps the current news is a reminder of such conversations. It is also increasingly evident, to perhaps even the most sceptical of minds, that there is an imbalance in the world. We would say there is an imbalance in all areas of life, with responsibility lying firmly in the minds of people over a considerable period of time, who have created the right conditions and environment for such a heartbreaking spectacle. In a word, it is our behaviour that should be up for scrutiny, with hard questions asked to uncover the truth.
For example, mental imbalance is surely more noticeable in recent years and more extreme. Why is this so? Something must have caused this to happen, and even though some, perhaps many, will be tapestried to have some form of mental illness to work through and try to overcome if they can, many others are showing increasing episodes of aggression, violence and criminality, all symptoms of imbalance that contribute to the fact that they cannot function well enough to hold down a job, or to do things by honest means in the first place if there is little encouragement and opportunity in their area; therefore, too often it seems, they need to resort to stealing, dealing in drugs, and joining gangs, for example. It is very evident that it is hard to be a young person today, particularly in more run-down, forgotten areas of the country that are deemed less important, I believe, if people were honest about this. The chant of looking for growth from Governments around the World is a blind spot along a road that is crumbling and breaking apart, with the belief that this can lift all people up and out of the current mess we are in, so that everyone has equal opportunities. This is a fantasy, and it is never going to happen with values that revolve around money and materialism. That is why the financial crash should be seen as a release, a wave of hope for all to have a chance to live and enjoy life, to embrace new values, and to help those with mental imbalances.
Another example of imbalance that exercises many thinking people’s minds, who have a love for nature, is the sight of our rivers, which are dying, and the increasing loss of wildlife, which punctuates news stories more and more frequently. Pollution and poisoning of our food, particularly meat and processed foods, which is surely overdue for a debate on the link to Alzheimer’s, as well as our air, soil, water, and oceans, are also reflections of greed. The imbalances that come from this contribute to the mental imbalance as people’s brains absorb this unhealthy and unnatural produce and environment.
This is a breakdown of society, a reflection of why there is so much concern amidst the turmoil and destruction, but no real solutions, because no one is going to stop big business and industry from continuing to pollute and make money; no one is going to change the education system, whose emphasis is to create future money makers and wealth creators to perpetuate the decline; no one is going to stop people from using their cars and other transport. Problems acknowledged by some are for the future: “We can carry on for now because we have policies in place – for the future”. This is despite calls from those who are more aware, such as scientists, naturalists, environmentalists and others, who do their best to voice their deep concerns and even try to put forward solutions. But the noise of the status quo, and more and more darkness, is a difficult battle to fight.
So, the Great Mind is giving us change through events that are particularly a result of the continuing rise in temperatures, which many are ignoring or have not contemplated the extent of possible damage. In time, as planned by the Great Mind, this will force a new approach to living, with new values, spiritual values, and an understanding that answers all questions about the importance of balance.
